American Troops and Zimbabwe

Just an interesting tidbit...about American Troops and African Zimbabweans. I noticed a large response of visitors to posts concerning Andrew Kinard (Country Music Awards wounded soldier honored) and the Zimbabwe posts on the African refugees who need so much help as I write this! We Americans truly are grateful to the bravery that are troops have shown us, and our hearts are open to the plight of the people of Zimbabwe. God bless people like Pastor Coetzee who dedicates his life to the refugees in Africa, and God bless Andrew Kinard, and so many other wounded soldiers just like him (because there are MANY) who sacrifice daily for us. Not only do they risk their lives in whatever they do daily, but after their service is done, and they are wounded, they re-live the trauma on a daily basis. Their families re-live the past on a present level...daily. Please pray for our troops, and those like Pastor Thinus Coetzee who risk their lives to help others.

If you know of someone special that is going the extra mile to aide others in difficult times, and you would like to honor them, please let me know. Have a great day, and smile! GOD LOVES YOU.

Gay Marriage Laws

Every now and then, I'll pop up and write a post that might seem out of character for me. However, due to the fact that I have several friends that are gay or lesbian, I thought I'd post an interesting link, concerning this issue.

CMA honored soldier, Lt. Andrew Kinard, United States' True Hero

After seeing the Country Music Awards this year, and watching the wounded soldier, Lt. Andrew Kinard being honored, I decided to find some more links to sites to post here, in hopes that Americans would rally together to aide our forgotten heros in the war. The war has gone on for so long now...yet we tend to forget the heros who fought in this war and come back home wounded for life. Their families are also the heros in this tragedy. Soldiers put their lives on the line for us, the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and the National guard...all women and men who bravely wake up every morning (some didn't even sleep), and face the day knowing it could be their last, yet bravely face the day with honor, with fortitude, and with bravery. Lt. Andrew Kinard told the CMA crowd, (before Trace Adkins sang "Til the Last Shot's Fired,") "As you listen to this song, please consider that it's not about the war, it's about the warrior,”

To these men and women, our American Troops, I salute you. God Bless America!!

UPDATES ON little Hailey Meltz

Hailey Meltz is a little girl that I have been following her progress for a couple of years now. She has an inoperable brain tumor, and her family, friends, and loved ones, and MANY who don't even know her personally, are joining in the fight to save this little girl, and others who have PLGA (Pediatric Low Grade Astrocytoma). Another name for this illness is "Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma". You can contact her father Brian at 920-915-1892 or by email at bmeltz@new.rr.com to help her. Here is a link, also, that tells all about Hailey, and what can be done to help her in her fight to live. I know she loves My Pretty Pony, I sent her some at Christmas a couple years back. I will keep her on my Christmas list again this year. PLEASE send her some things that a little girl would enjoy, to keep her morale up.

Are You Stressed Out and Dreaming Weird Stuff?

I know that I have nightmares, and also many dreams that run parallel to other dreams I have had. I multi-task through the day, and that usually makes me tense at the end of the day as well, thinking that I haven't accomplished everything I need to, or want to. This link below, I found to be interesting, as it addresses several dream patterns and thought processes we go through when sleeping, and a solution to our sometimes unfounded, fears. I hope you enjoy this link as much as I did. LOL...I dream of flying (without a plane), and it's so much fun. However, when I think in the day time about flying, I get so petrified, and I just KNOW if I had to get on a plane, I'd have to be given a tranquilizer LMAO....Also I dream a lot of high towers. (I don't know about this one, but it could have something to do with my fear of heights). The uncanny thing about fear of heights though, is that I was a tomboy growing up, and LOVED to climb trees. (still do). So, don't try to corner me, I just might run up a tree! LOL!! Then there is the old dream of being back in high school. OMG...how awful would that be to go back to school at my age with teenagers??? I already have raised 3 and one is still home. I wouldn't want to have to go to school with other teens though. I loved high school, and still maintain my friendships with many from grade school, on up. Anyway...back to the dream. I dream that I am late to a class, or that I can't find the right building, although I was always early to class, knew exactly where I had to be all the time. Good Grief...when I was in high school, it was a boarding school, and we would walk from one side of the campus to the other side, and had a very short period of time to get there. Maybe, just maybe, I am projecting the many things I have to accomplish every day into the same thought process of when I was in high school, and feeling stressed?? (like not going to accomplish everything, and I am usually a perfectionist on some things). I'd love to hear from my readers, to see what kind of dreams they have, and what they think the meanings are.

"LET THE PEOPLE VOTE..??? Your thoughts?

I just saw WAKA 10:00 p.m. news, talking about Governor Bob Riley and Attorney General Troy King at odds over the Bingo issue. Ahhhhhhhhh, whenever big money is floating around, THERE ARE FIGHTS lol...At 'em, boys. (Boys will be boys).

I have seen so many commercials on this Bingo issue. What are your thoughts? I would rather see Randy Owen sing than watch him on this commercial. Frankly, it's getting old! LOL...Randy, back to, "My Home's In Alabama", and "Christmas in Dixie"...my two favorite all time ALABAMA songs.

COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS...honors Wounded Soldier

Great show tonight! Carrie Underwood tops again...Reba shines...Billy Ray Cyrus introduces daughter, Miley, and Wounded Soldier is honored. Cool show, and I'm so proud to be an American. Country ROCKS!!
